Sakhal is the third official map for DayZ and is relentless when it comes to its weather conditions, which makes survival far more challenging than on any other map. It features a mix of dense forests, mountainous terrain, swampy lowlands, and an icy coastline. A lot of the terrain is covered in snow. One of the map’s unique features is the presence of quite a few remote islands scattered off the mainland coast. These frozen isles are surrounded by treacherous sea ice and harsh winds. The map includes both rural villages, desolate settlements, and industrial zones, creating a sparse but diverse environment.
